Floral Foundations

If you’ve ever said, “I’d Love to be a Florist” come for a taste and learn how florists do what they do — how they condition flowers or choose the right flower for the right design — this is the course for you. Floral Foundations is a short, structured program that takes you from curious beginner to confident in just a few weeks.

Join us in the New England Flower Co studio, where you’ll learn alongside a small group, work with beautiful seasonal flowers, and get the kind of gentle guidance that turns a new skill into a real passion.

Floral foundations class

Ideal for Complete Beginners

This course is ideal for complete beginners, people considering a career change into the floral industry, or anyone who simply wants to understand flowers at a deeper level. You don’t need any prior experience — just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands dirty.

Upcoming Classes

Over the course of several sessions, you’ll cover the fundamentals: flower care and conditioning, basic design principles, working with seasonal and mixed stems, and creating multiple finished arrangements from scratch. You’ll complete real designs in a professional studio setting, guided every step of the way. By the end, you’ll have both the knowledge and the confidence to keep creating on your own.

Classes run in both daytime and after-work sessions to suit your schedule — check our calendar for current availability.

Each student will receive a New England Flower Co apron and basic Floristry Tool Kit to keep, and all flowers and materials are provided. Please read our terms and conditions before booking.
